We’ve been working on the project for a long time and have a Memorandum of Understanding with the company that is building houses at Coishletter.

Six of the houses will be for the village to let as two and three bedroom affordable homes. The Community Company will raise funds so that this can happen. We are working with Communities Housing Trust to enable this project.

Planning Permission is awaited at present and we are working on aspects of the project. Because we will own the homes we can influence the Allocation and Tenancy policy. The survey has a little on this. We also have the option of creating long term work through arranging the maintenance of the development.
